Russian invasion of Ukraine

On February 27, 2014, Russian troops invaded Crimea and later operated in the east of Ukraine when separatists occupied part of Donbass. On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a full invasion of Ukraine. Ukraine managed to fend off the initial rapid advance. The Russian invasion caused Europe´s biggest refugee crisis since World War II. But many people remained in Ukraine. They are helping, hiding, fighting and surviving.

He photographed the crisis in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and Ukraine. He began documenting Ukraine during the Maidan revolution in 2014. He documented the occupation of Crimea and eastern Ukraine. During the Covid-19 pandemic, he documented the red zone in hospitals in Slovakia.
